Our story
BWC Industrial Services was born in 1992 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a place built on agricultural processing and food manufacturing. What was obvious back then was that industrial facilities didn’t need help with cleaning and maintaining just one thing. They needed a cleaning partner that could do everything and do it in a supersized way.
So BWC was built. To help big processing facilities solve big cleaning and maintenance problems.
We invested in the world’s biggest vacuum (helllllo, vac truck) and got our start as a one-vac, one-man crew (Founder Bill Whitters). Fueled by an insane work ethic, an irreverant spirit, touch of unconventionality and relentless commitment to help others; Bill quickly expanded the BWC team and fleet.
Today we have a full-time rockstar team of 180 people that service customers in Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska and North Dakota. In addition to cleaning the big stuff, we offer excavation services, demolition, trucking, snow and lawn, and more. We take our work very seriously, but we never forget to have fun, and we tend to work with customers that like to do the same.
We’ve been lucky enough to work with some of the most amazing and innovative companies. From oats to beans and ethanol, these companies are transforming the region’s crops into the food and fuel of the future—proving that agriculture still feeds, powers and propels the world.
